Basic Definition and Structure of U-Shape Screws
2026-02-05
Shape: Made by bending round steel into a U-shape, with fully threaded ends. Used in conjunction with matching nuts and saddle plates/pressure plates, the U-shaped section wraps around the pipe or cylindrical component, while the saddle plate presses down on top. Tightening the nut secures the assembly—a fastening method commonly referred to as "riding a horse."
Common shapes: semicircle (commonly used for pipes), right-angled square, and triangle; non-standard sizes available upon request.
